International-Day-of-PeaceThe International Day of Peace, formally known as World Peace Day, is observed all over the day on 21 st September. It is devoted to world peace, and exactly the absence of war and violence, such as might be occasioned by a temporary ceasefire in a combat zone for humanitarian aid access. The Peace day was first celebrated in 1982.

Secretary-General of the United Nations has announced this as a day dedicated to peace education, the key preventive means to reduce war sustainably.
