History Of Transportation

Since man inhabited the earth he was on his own way to search for food, water, and a safe place to live. In early and ancient days walking was the most dependable mode of transportation.

Then slowly man learned to domesticate animals and ride them for hunting and to move from one place to another. And around 3500 BC the wheel was invented which let to the discovery of revolutionized modern transport system. Combining the horse and the wheel the early man discovered the chariot which was the cheapest mode of transport in the land.

In the search for lands that was safe and beneficial to man he has to cross the rivers and streams which gave rise to the waterways transportation. The early man hollowed the tree trunks and used them to cross the rivers and streams which paved the way for waterways transport.

Slowly the transport system was well developed and let to many inventions in the system of transport.
